Preschool programs

Coaches should enjoy working with young children and be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic. They’ll lead simple, hands-on STEM projects and basic robotics lessons designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Availability from 2:00 PM onward is required, as sessions typically run during preschool hours.

Coaches must have previous experience with VEX IQ, including building and coding robots using the VEX IQ system. They’ll guide elementary and middle school students through design challenges, coding lessons, and team competitions. Ideal candidates are organized, confident with both the hardware and software, and able to help students troubleshoot effectively.

Coaches for BattleBots should have solid knowledge in at least one of the following areas: CAD design, electrical systems, or programming, with working familiarity in the other two. This program involves advanced robotics and real engineering processes, including mechanical design, CAM, and safety oversight. Coaches should be technically skilled, resourceful, and comfortable mentoring high school students through the full robot build cycle.
