What is vex iq

VEX IQ is a beginner friendly robotics system that teaches kids how to design, build, and code real robots.

It’s built for learning. By using snap together parts, simple sensors, and coding platforms like block based code and Python.

Your child learns to think like an engineer, while having fun as part of a team.

A complex structure built with colorful plastic construction pieces, including gears, wheels, and beams, resembling a mechanical or robotic assembly.

Our Difference

When you join a Trailblazers team, you become part of a larger community. As the largest private organization in GA, we have built a community of students and parents that are passionate about STEM and robotics. Students across teams learn and grow together.

Furthermore, unlike other private organizations we have created a dedicated and standardized curriculum from our years of coaching experience.

We’ve also implemented a new parent portal allowing both coaches and parents to track student progress in a much more organized and transparent way. Parents who want to help guide their student with the engineering notebook can request access to our notebook curriculum as well. This will have templates, past examples, and real interview practice.

Coaches now complete detailed reports for the portal each session that include:

- What the team did during that session

- Each student’s behavior and participation

- Tournament readiness and autonomous plan updates

- Pictures of the day’s work

This ensures every team stays on track and gives parents clear insight into their student’s development. If a student consistently receives negative feedback, or if parents have any questions or concerns about their child’s path, a parent coach meeting can be scheduled. If you would like your student to have specific coaching instructions that can also be entered here, allowing for the highest quality experience.
